Brad keeps Horizon Media at the forefront of industry trends and innovation. He has made the agency’s research practice recognized in the industry for its breadth of coverage, media neutral approach and uncovering of critical insights which inform brand strategy. Brad has also authored Horizon Media’s ongoing newsletter, On the Horizon, which covers thought-provoking analysis of various industry topics.
Brad not only uncovers trends, he is a trending topic himself. Brad is sought after almost daily by the media for his industry insights and has received countless industry awards throughout the years. In 2002 Brad was named a “Media Maven” by Advertising Age and in 2006, "Media All Star" in the research category by Mediaweek. For three consecutive years from 2006-2008, he was named the most quoted executive in the industry by Advertising Age in the publication's annual "Media Talk" survey. Additionally, in 2008, he served as Member of the Council for Research Excellence, the Board of Governors at the Media Ratings Council, Nielsen's Policy Guideline Committee as well as on the advisory boards for Arbitron Radio & Kantar Media. Later, in 2009, Brad was named by Ad Age as one of 25 media people to follow on Twitter. He currently serves as chair of the 4A's Media Measurement Committee. Most recently, Brad led Horizon’s team to victory in AdAge's Media Buzz Trivia competition (2012), beating out nine competitors to win the title for the agency.
His recognized excellence has been honed for over 30 years, previously working in the media research departments at Grey Advertising, Backer & Spielvogel and Saatchi & Saatchi. Brad also held positions in ad sales research at several cable networks and syndication companies.
Understandably, Brad’s position in the industry, is a 24/7 job – receiving media inquiries at any time, often including holidays. This requires not only constantly keeping up with the latest news but having an understanding and loving family.
